Between ID is the email address used to register to Between. You can check your ID on you or your partner's Between app under More > Profile.

etween admin cannot search for your ID using information other than email address (e.g. phone number or birthdays).

We need your partner's approval to change your Between ID. Please send us below information so that we can send the approval request to your partner.

**If your partner's ID is also an invalid email address, please change the ID before making the request.

Between ID must be a valid email address. If your ID is a valid email address, and you are still not receiving the password reset email, please inquire at feedback@between.us using the email address registered to Between.

Both you & your partner must register and send connection request to each other with phone numbers. Only 1 account can be connected to an account at a time.

  1. After registration, enter both numbers correctly and press Connect. Your partner should also do the same within 24 hours of your request.
  2. If you are still waiting after both of you have sent request to each other, check if you & your partner are in agreement about the phone numbers(incl country code).
  3. If the numbers are correct, please try refreshing the request, or cancel and try again.

If connection doesn't happen after the above steps, please send you and your partner's email address registered to Between as well as your phone numbers (including country code), and we will be look into the issue.

You can disconnect from partner on your Between app under More > Profile > Disconnect from partner.

*How to use Disconnect

1. Disconnect is possible without your partner's consent, but please do not use this function lightly.

2. After you disconnect, both of you will lose access to data shared on Between and will be sent to connection stage (phone number screen)

3. Your data will be preserved on server for a 30-day grace period, after which everything will be deleted

4. You can restore your data if both of you request connection again from the same IDs within 30 days. Please check you & your partner's Between IDs before disconnecting.

**If you wish to delete your records permanently, you can do so after disconnecting by going to Support page > Account > Delete account and typing in your Between ID & password.

**Please consider carefully before deleting account. It will erase all data permanently and registering again with the same email address will not restore this data.

You can reconnect & restore your previous data if both of you request connection using previously connected IDs.

*How to reconnect & restore

1. If you are connected to a different account, you must disconnect first. Only 1 account can be connected to an account at a time.

2. Both of you must log in with previous IDs that have been connected to each other. If either of you log in with a different ID, or register again after deleting account, previous connection cannot be verified.

3. After logging in, please send connection request to each other by entering phone numbers correctly. Between server will connect your accounts & verify previous connection when matching requests are received within 24 hours of each other.

4. Once you have reconnected with correct accounts, you will see option to restore or clear previous data. Select Restore to restore all data; selecting Clear will delete all data permanently.

There can be 3 reasons if data is not restored after reconnecting:

  1. At least one of you have reconnected with ID that was not previously connected.
  2. You or your partner pressed Clear instead of Restore after reconnecting
  3. It has been more than 30 days since disconnection

If the above doesn't apply to you, please send us an email with you & your partner's Between ID (email address) and we will look into it.

If your partner can log in, you have registered or logged in with a different email address.

Please log out and check your Between ID on your partner's Between app under More > Profile. Then, select Sign in instead of Register to log in with your original ID.

Do not ask your partner to disconnect during this process.

Between only keeps the data for 30 days after disconnection. If you were using Between Plus, data will be kept for 90 days.

We will remind you via email 7 days before the end of the data recovery period with the option to extend this period. You can opt for the extension for a small fee (50 hearts) and your data recovery period will be extended by an additional 90 days. (120 days total after disconnection).

*Please check if the email address registered to Between can receive emails by confirming your account

In order to extend data recovery period, you must pay the fee within 30 days after disconnecting.

*How to use

  1. Have Between installed and ready on your device.
  2. Click on the link in email you received about data recovery
  3. Log in with your Between ID
  4. Request extension of data recovery period with 50 hearts
  5. Upon successful payment, your data recovery period will be extended by an additional 90 days. (120 days total after disconnection).

*If either partner requests extension, it will apply to the other partner as well

*The partner won't receive a notification of your extension request

'Login with Facebook' allows users who have already linked their Between ID to their Facebook ID to log in more easily to Between.

You can link your Between ID under 'More' > 'Settings' > 'Social networks'. Between does not post to Facebook without user permission, and your activity on Between will not be shared on Facebook.

Once you register, you will be prompted to input phone numbers for you & your partner. You can enter a non-existant phone number(no verification required) as long as you and your partner input the same numbers for each other. Between server will recognize the matching numbers and make the connection.

Once you are connected, phone numbers will be used whenever you call each other from Between. Charges will apply according to your plan with your carrier for voice calls.

Please reset your password as soon as possible. Your account will be automatically logged out from all devices so that data shared on Between is protected from other people.

On a browser, please go to our Support page > Account > Find my password to reset your password.

Your data is saved with Between ID on the cloud. If you change your device, you only have to reinstall Between and log in with your ID/password to continue where you left off. You don't have to use Disconnect-Reconnect.

If your phone number has changed, you can update it on your partner's app. Tap open your profile and press Edit to update your phone number. Likewise, you can change your partner's phone number on your Between app.

**Please make a note of your ID/password before changing your device.

Between is available anywhere in the world, as long as you can connect to a 3G or Wi-Fi network.

You can use the service for free over Wi-Fi, but you may be charged for data roaming if on a 3G network. Please check with your carrier before using Between on data networks overseas. Calling your partner will lead to voice call on your device.

Getting a new phone or changing SIM card will not affect your data. Please download Between again on your new phone and log in with your Between ID to resume where you left off.

We support multi-device usage, so you can log in with the same ID on multiple devices at the same time.However, you will only receive push notification on the latest device used to log in to Between.

So if you are using Between on multiple devices, please log out & log in on the device where you wish to receive push notification.

'Access device info' is available under 'More' > 'Setting' and shows a list of devices from which your account is logged in to Between.

1) Enable login alert : Receive notification whenever your account is used to log into another device.

2) This device : Current device info.

3) Other devices : Other devices from which your account is logged in to Between. You can log out from those devices remotely by tapping 'Disconnect'

You must register & confirm a valid email address as your Between ID in order to receive account-related support and back up data correctly. Click on the URL link sent with the welcome email at registration.

If the link has expired (3 hour limit), go to More tab on your Between app and click on the green banner to request URL link again. Once confirmation is complete, banner will disappear.

Some email domains may not accept automated emails from Between.

If you are not getting our emails even after checking spam box, we recommend changing your Between ID to a different email address.

Passcode is a 4-digit number required to unlock Between.

If you forgot your passcode, you can reinstall and log in to Between. Lock setting will be initialized.

All data shared between 2 accounts are encrypted and stored securely on our servers. No one else can access this data.

Do not share your Between ID & password with 3rd parties.

Deleting the app does not affect account. Therefore, you will not know if your partner deleted the app. There is no notification, and you can continue to use Between as before.

If your partner disconnects from you, you will lose access to the data you’ve shared on Between and will be taken to the connection screen.

Between requires an email address to sign up.

Sometimes, a user may have entered a wrong email address. If you did not register but received an email about Between, please inquire with us.

If you are not receiving Between notifications, one of the following may be the cause:

1. PC Version

- If you are logged into Between’s PC version, your mobile device will only receive silent notifications so you may be unaware of new alerts.

- We are working to improve our notifications options so you won’t miss another notification from your partner - even when you’re using the PC version!

2. Battery Saving Apps / Battery Optimizing Apps / Cleaner Apps / Antivirus Apps

- If the Between app is force closed, you won’t be able to receive notifications.

- Even if the abovementioned apps suggest that you force close Between, please don’t force close the app!

3. Samsung Smart Manager App

- The Smart Manager app switches apps that aren’t running for more than 3 days to battery saving mode so you may not be receive notifications.

- Please don’t include Between in the Smart Manager app settings!

4. Huawei Device

- When you close the Between app, you will stop receiving notifications.

- Device Settings > Battery > Close App After Screen Lock > Between > Disable through 'Do Not Close' (steps may vary depending on the OS version)

5. Notifications Settings

- Please check your device system’s notifications settings as well!

- Device Settings > Applications > Between > Notifications > Allow Notifications

If none of the above applies to you and you’re still not receiving notifications, please contact us at this email address.

You can upload photos, show special days, and show your location in Between Home.

1. Upload home photo

- Tap on the top right button to edit Home with photos, stickers, and frames

- You can save this photo to device or share it to other SNS

2. Show special day

- Tap on the top center special day area to add more special days, or set main special day

- Turn on 'show on Home' to set day as main special day (show on home)

- Count down to meaningful days after the main special day will be shown automatically.

3. Show your location

- Tap on your profile to update your location. Select 'Auto' to update your location automatically .

- If your location is in a different timezone from your partner, time difference will show.

Tap on your profile on Home to set you location manually or automatically.

If you set it to 'Auto', the location services on your device should be turned on, and app must be opened on to update your location.

Location & weather may not be accurate due to update frequency. If location setting is especially unstable, rebooting device is recommended

You can see special offers & promotions for Between couples prepared by Between in the Event Box.

Event Box is open in a few select countries at the moment. You will be notified with 'New' badge when an event is live. Please stay tuned for more news from us!

**If you have upgraded to Between Plus and still wish to see Event Box offerings, please change your ad settings via More > Settings

You can see notifications about your & your partner's activity collectively in 'Our Activity'. you can review past notifications.

**Notifications in 'Our Activity' cannot be deleted

You can upload photos, videos, and notes in Moments

1. Story : your photos, videos, and notes will be automatically sorted by date.

2. Folder:

- Photos, videos, and notes will be collected to folders automatically

- You can bookmark photos, videos, and notes by tapping on the star icon next to each post, and save them to Memory Box in Folder

- You can choose to organize your photos by themes such as 'Food' and 'Travel' in Folder. Tap on the '+'button > 'Create/Add to Folder'.

Photos uploaded to Moments are automatically arranged into albums by date photo was taken or downloaded.

*How to create album

- Go to Moments > '+' button > Upload from Album and choose photos to upload (max 15 per upload). You can add or edit a title for the album.

- If you want to upload photos from multiple dates in 1 album, please check Upload to single date option at the bottom after choosing photos.

- To move uploaded photos to a different album, tap on the individual photo and click the More button at the bottom right hand corner to save to a different date.

- Videos are limited 10 seconds in length. Upgrade to Between Plus to extend the length to 60 seconds

To add photos to existing albums, please check the date of the album you want to add to. Then, you can select photo to add and check Upload to a single date and choose that date to save photo to that album.

Tap on the individual post you wish to edit an click the More button at the bottom right hand corner to save to a different date.

You can only edit photos, videos, notes that you have uploaded. Tap on the individual post you wish to edit an click the More button at the bottom right hand corner to delete or save to a different date. Deleted photos, videos, notes will not be restored.

Memory box is under Moments > Folders. Tap on the red star on the bottom right side of photos & notes saved in Moments to collect.

Go to Chat > top right hand arrow > Settings > Export Messages to send your chat history via email


1. Chat history will not include photos, stickers, and voice messages.

2. Download link in email is valid for 14 days.

Heart will appear next to a a text that is successfully sent, and will disappear when your partner reads the message. Please note that heart may disappear even if partner has not seen message on certain devices.

Tap on the search icon and type in what you are looking for. You can review up to 100 messages before and after the text you have searched for.

You can review your conversation by calendar date (Between Chat > top right arrow > Search by Date)

*How to use!

- You can review conversations for any date within the past 2 months. Plus users can review all date beyond 2 months.

- You can review conversation shared on selected date, and the day before and after (3 days total)

- If you want to review conversation of a different date, you'll have to go back and select that date.

Sent messages cannot be canceled or deleted from your partner's app

You can edit conversation only on your chat screen by going to Chat > top right side arrows > Edit. Changes made to conversation history will apply only to your phone, and messages will remain on your partner's phone.

Deleted messages can not be restored. Please check before editing conversation history.

Tap the '+' button from the message input line to display a popup menu and tap Audio Message. You can record voice messages for 1~60 seconds.

If you want to turn on Walkie-talkie mode, go to Chat > top right hand arrow > Settings > Turn on Walkie-Takie mode. You can tap and hold the HOLD TO TALK button to record, and release to send audio message.

Please check your network environment when chat is slow/not working.

If it doesn't work despite strong signal, please switch to 3G/4G or wi-fi network and tap the red exclamation next to the text to re-send.

You can import LINE & Kakaotalk conversations to Between (Chat > top right arrows > Settings > Import chat history)


1. Imported messages will be added to Between chat history, and your partner can see them too.

2. Imported messages cannot be removed in bulk. Please make sure that the messages you are importing is correct.

3. Messages shared among more than 2 users can't be imported

4. Only text messages can be imported. Photos, stickers, videos, voice messages will not be included.

5. Message file must be imported one at a time. Please wait if the process takes time

If you want to import previous conversation shared in LINE or Kakaotalk, you can do so by going to Between Chat > Top right arrow > Settings > Import Chat History

1. Open Kakaotalk or LINE and select chat room from which you wish to import messages

2. Tap top right menu > Settings > Export Messages

3. Choose 'Send Text Messages Only', then select Between among applications

4. Once text file is received, you will be notified with the next steps by Between

5. Confirm that the conversation is correct to proceed with import

6. Once import is finished, you will be notified and you will see the conversation in Between Chat

You can send your thoughts in a new letter format that includes music. Go to Chat > '+' button > tap on love letter to create a love letter with background music. You can preset the time to send the love letter to partner.

If you want to review all the love letters sent or received, go to Chat > top right arrows > Love letter inbox.

*This feature is for Between Plus users only.

How to record Special Days

  1. Home > Special Days (bottom center box) > Add a Special Day, or
  2. Calendar > Calendar > '+' button > Special Days

- Please note options such as 'Count this day as first day' & 'Repeat' when saving Special Days. Special Days set to repeat annually will show count of days left until returning day.

- Turn ON 'Display on Home screen' to show important dates on Home.

- Android users can show preview of special day in device notifications by going to More >Settings > Show special day in notification

1. How to add Special Day: Calendar > '+' button > Special Day or Home > Special Days (bottom center box) > Add Special Days

- You can keep track of important dates in your relationship such as 'Day we first met' and 'Partner's birthday'.

- Special days are collected in the Special Day box on Home tab where you can count days passed since. (Repeated dates will show days left till upcoming day)

- Special days are limited to all-day events. Repeat can be set off or on annually.

- Categorize your dates to receive special messages from Between on that day.

2. How to add Event: Calendar > '+' button > Event

- You can record & share daily events with your partner such as 'Exams' and 'Vacation'.

- You can set start/end time and repeat settings freely

Your partner will be alerted when Events & Special Days are added to Calendar, and will be able to see the addition. You can change alert setting to designate which user should receive alarm before start time.

'Hearts' are virtual currencies in Between. You can use them to buy stickers, upgrade to Between Plus, and more.

*How to buy hearts

- More > Settings >My hearts > Buy hearts

* You cannot transfer hearts bought on Android device to iPhone device, and vice versa.

You can buy stickers in More > Sticker Store. Stickers can only be used by the buyer.

You can buy as gift for partner and buy for both partners on Android devices only.

Go to More > Settings > Purchase history. Select the set you wish to download again and click Download.

If the set is not there, please click the Restore button so that Between can retrieve your purchase history.

Refund of hearts and stickers are not possible. Please consider carefully before proceeding.

Between stickers cannot be purchased twice.

If you have been charged twice for hearts, please check your purchase history in Google Play / App Store and send us a purchase history at feedback@between.us

You can earn hearts by completing missions or inviting friends. You can use them to buy stickers, and other paid items.


1.Free hearts will expire after 60 days (except for hearts earned by Invite friends)

2. Free hearts can only be earned on Android devices

3. Free hearts cannot be transferred between iPhone & Android devices

1. Completing missions : The free hearts system is serviced by a partner company. You can inquire about missions through the feedback menu on the screen showing list of tasks to complete to obtain hearts.

2. Invite friends : If you have invited friends successfully, but didn't receive hearts, please inquire with your Between ID at feedback@between.us

Between Plus allows users to use premium features for a fee. Premium features include colorful themes, Moments backup, limited edition stickers, remove ads, etc. For more information, please see More > Between Plus

**If a user upgrades, partner will also be able to use premium features without additional fee.

You can cancel your subscription to Between Plus via Google Play or App Store. Please request subscription cancellation through Google Play or App Store directly.


1. Subscription will auto-renew if you do not cancel

2. If you choose to cancel, you will be able to continue using Between Plus for the remaining term
